About Dr. Alrawi
Dr. Sadir Jumaa Alrawi is a Consultant General and Surgical Oncologist at Saudi German Hospital in Dubai with 35 years of international clinical and academic experience. He trained at the University of Baghdad, completed fellowships in Head & Neck Surgery and Surgical Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in New York, and earned fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh. His career spans Iraq, the UK, the United States (18 years, with 10 years in Florida), and the Middle East.
Dr. Alrawi performs complex cancer surgeries across multiple organ systems: he specializes in breast cancer with reconstruction, colorectal and pancreatic cancers, thyroid and endocrine tumors, head and neck cancers, and soft-tissue sarcomas. He is highly skilled in keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery, open complex abdominal and thoracic procedures, oesophageal and gastric surgery, and heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for advanced cancers. He has also built or led cancer centres in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Baghdad, and was the first to gain JCI accreditation for a breast cancer program outside the United States.
Dr. Alrawi is fluent in Arabic, English, and French. He is well-suited for patients needing specialist cancer surgery, reconstructive breast surgery, minimally invasive abdominal procedures, or endocrine surgery, particularly those with complex or internationally recognized cancer cases.
