Dr. Houssam Younes

Dr. Houssam Younes is Division Chair of Vascular Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Heart, Vascular, & Thoracic Institute. He trained in general surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Texas Medical Branch, then completed specialist vascular surgery training at Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he was an Assistant Professor and attending vascular surgeon at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he taught medical students and surgery residents alongside his clinical work.

Dr. Younes treats a broad range of vascular conditions using both minimally invasive catheter-based techniques and traditional open surgery. His particular expertise is in limb salvage therapies—procedures designed to avoid or delay amputation—and hybrid approaches that combine endovascular and surgical methods. He also has special interest in dialysis access surgery and has published and presented extensively on vascular surgery outcomes.
