Dr. Irfan Khan

Dr. Irfan Khan is a consultant rheumatologist at Mediclinic Abu Dhabi with extensive training in the UK. He graduated from DOW Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, and completed foundation year training in Wales followed by core medical training in the West Midlands. He then undertook higher specialist training (CCT) in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals. Before relocating to the UAE in 2015, he was a Consultant Rheumatologist at North Cumbria University Hospitals in Carlisle and Ipswich General Hospital in the UK.

Dr. Khan treats a broad range of joint and autoimmune conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, and vasculitis. He also manages chronic and acute back pain, chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions like fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, and sports-related injuries. He performs soft-tissue and joint injections, and treats metabolic bone diseases such as osteoporosis and Paget's disease.
