Dr. Santhosh Kumar

Dr Santhosh Kumar is a Specialist Radiologist at NMC Specialty Hospital, Al Nahda, with 16 years of clinical experience in diagnostic imaging. He completed his MBBS at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore in 2000, followed by an MD in Radiodiagnosis from Father Muller's Medical College, Mangalore in 2005. After working at leading medical colleges and tertiary care hospitals across India, he relocated to the UAE in 2017 and has since practised in JCI-accredited hospitals in Sharjah and Fujairah before joining NMC Healthcare.

Dr Kumar's expertise covers the full range of modern diagnostic imaging: ultrasound scanning, Doppler imaging (including obstetric ultrasound), computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), conventional X-ray radiology, emergency imaging, and cardiac imaging. He has mentored postgraduate radiology students and coordinated academic programmes at his previous hospital, and has presented research at international and national conferences.

Fluent in seven languages—English, Hindi, Urdu, Kannada, Tulu, Malayalam, and Arabic—Dr Kumar is well-positioned to communicate with diverse patient populations. He is a life member of the Indian Radiological & Imaging Association and the Indian Medical Association, and holds memberships in specialist societies including the Society of Emergency Radiology and the Indian Association of Cardiac Imaging.
