Dr. Najat Alzbeidi

Dr. Najat Alzbeidi is a consultant psychiatrist at Sakina (Abu Dhabi Healthcare Company, SEHA) with 12 years of experience in psychiatry. She completed her medical training at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and October 6 University in Egypt, followed by specialist psychiatry training at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in the UAE. Her additional qualifications include a fellowship in mood disorders from Queen's University in Canada, a mini fellowship in behavioral sleep medicine from the University of Pennsylvania, and specialized training in repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS)—a non-invasive brain stimulation technique—from the University of Toronto.

Dr. Alzbeidi focuses on treating difficult-to-manage cases of depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder using evidence-based therapies. She has particular expertise in neuromodulation services, which use advanced techniques to help patients whose symptoms have not responded well to standard medications. As a passionate advocate for women's mental health, she provides specialized care for women during pregnancy and the postpartum period, addressing the unique mental health challenges that can arise during these times.

Dr. Alzbeidi is actively involved in community mental health initiatives, conducting workshops and awareness campaigns to reduce stigma around psychiatric conditions in the UAE. She leads the Mood Disorders Clinic and rTMS Services at Sakina, and serves as Vice Chair of the Institutional Review Board at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City.
