Dr. Ravi Kare

Dr. Ravi Kare is a consultant anaesthetist and pain management specialist who joined HealthPoint in 2022. He brings more than 21 years of experience in perioperative care and anaesthesia across various surgical specialties. He trained in India, completing his MBBS from Bangalore University and his MD in anaesthesia from Bai Yamunabai Laxman Nair Hospitals in Mumbai. He also completed specialist training in neurocardiac anaesthesia at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology in 2003.

Before relocating to the UAE, Dr. Kare spent 10 years at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in the UK, where he worked as a consultant from 2014 onwards. Earlier in his career, he worked as a cardiac anaesthetist at Manipal Heart Foundation in India. His clinical focus now centres on pain management — particularly spinal pain, post-surgical pain, facial pain, and headaches. He also manages patients who require intrathecal drug delivery devices (implanted pumps that deliver medication directly to the spine) for conditions including cancer pain, multiple sclerosis, and muscle spasticity.

Dr. Kare believes in a balanced, patient-centred approach to persistent pain management, actively involving patients in decisions about their care. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and has served as faculty on pain and anaesthesia courses, including those run by the London Society of Regional Anaesthesia.
