Dr. Sushil Sonawane

Dr Sushil Sonawane is a consultant endocrinologist with expertise in managing diabetes, thyroid disease, and metabolic disorders. He completed his MBBS from B. J. Medical College in Pune in 2005, followed by postgraduate medical training including an MD from Grant Medical College in 2010 and a DM in Endocrinology from Seth GS Medical College in Mumbai in 2018. During his specialist training, he worked with experienced endocrinologists and attended numerous national and international conferences in the field.

Dr Sonawane has particular expertise in thyroid and parathyroid conditions, having pursued additional fellowship training in thyroid ultrasound in 2019. He previously worked as an associate professor of endocrinology at KEM Hospital in Mumbai and has experience across multiple hospital settings in India. His clinical practice focuses on managing a wide range of metabolic and endocrine conditions, from common issues like diabetes and obesity to more specialized disorders.

His special interests include thyroid disease, diabetes management, obesity, hormone imbalances, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), pituitary and adrenal gland disorders, growth concerns, excessive facial hair, and bone health. He has published research in national and international medical journals and brings evidence-based practice to his patient care.
