Dr. Huma Mamun Mahmud

Dr. Huma Mamun Mahmud is a consultant nephrologist with 28 years of medical experience in kidney disease and internal medicine. She has been practising at SEHA in Abu Dhabi since 2017, where she provides comprehensive care for patients with kidney problems. Dr. Mahmud completed her medical degree and went on to earn a Fellowship in Nephrology from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan in 2004.

She specializes in chronic kidney disease (CKD), dialysis management, and disorders affecting kidney function and electrolyte balance. Her clinical work includes haemodialysis, treatment of acute kidney injury, managing high blood pressure in kidney patients, and addressing acid-base imbalances. Before joining SEHA, she worked as a specialist nephrologist at Life Care Hospital in Abu Dhabi and held an academic position as Assistant Professor at Dow University of Health Sciences, where she was involved in training medical students and conducting research.

Dr. Mahmud is well-suited for patients needing ongoing kidney disease management, those requiring dialysis, or those with complex electrolyte or blood pressure issues related to kidney function. She brings both clinical expertise and a background in medical education to her practice.
