About Dr. Neil Van Biljon
Neil is a South African-trained physiotherapist who graduated in 2012 from the University of Pretoria with a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy. He is currently pursuing an MSc at Wits University's Cricket Research Hub, deepening his expertise in sports science. Before relocating to the UAE, he owned a practice in KwaZulu-Natal where he worked with athletes and general patients needing musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation.
He has treated athletes at national level in sports including basketball and field hockey, and has contributed to professional committees and special interest groups focused on sports and exercise physiotherapy in South Africa. Neil is licensed by the DHA (Dubai Health Authority) and holds full registration with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa).
Neil practises patient-centred care, prioritising clear communication and helping patients restore full function. His particular interests lie in rugby, cricket, and field hockey rehabilitation.
