Dr. Deepak Pillai

Dr. Deepak Pillai is a Consultant Nephrologist at Burjeel Day Surgery Center at Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi, bringing over 15 years of specialized experience in kidney and renal disease management. He completed his medical training in India, earning an MBBS from the University of Kerala (1993), an MD in Internal Medicine from the University of Kerala (2000), and a DM in Nephrology from the University of Calicut (2005). He went on to receive a Fellowship in Adult Nephrology from the University of Toronto, Canada (2011), strengthening his expertise in advanced renal care.

Throughout his career, Dr. Pillai has worked across India, Kuwait, and the UAE in senior consultant and specialist roles, managing both outpatient nephrology and transplantation programs. His clinical focus spans kidney transplantation, dialysis therapy, acute kidney injury management, and critical care nephrology.
