Dr. Ahmed Reda is a consultant nephrologist with deep international experience across the Middle East and Europe. He trained and practised in Iraq, Libya, and Sweden—where he spent eight years before joining Mediclinic Abu Dhabi in 2014. His career reflects a strong foundation in both acute and chronic kidney disease management across diverse healthcare systems.
Dr. Reda specializes in the full spectrum of kidney care: he manages patients with kidney transplants, oversees both haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis (two types of kidney dialysis), and performs kidney biopsies using ultrasound guidance. He also places and manages the catheters needed for dialysis treatment, and cares for patients at all stages of kidney failure, from early disease to advanced renal disease requiring replacement therapy.
