Dr. Mashhood PV

Dr. Mashhood PV is a Specialist Gastroenterologist at Aster Hospitals Dubai, trained in internal medicine and gastroenterology from Kerala institutions. He completed his DM (Doctoral of Medicine) in Gastroenterology from Kerala University of Health Sciences in 2015, following an MD in Internal Medicine from Calicut University and an MBBS also from Calicut University.

Dr. Mashhood offers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper endoscopy (looking down the food pipe and stomach), colonoscopy (examining the colon), and advanced techniques such as ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) for bile duct issues and EMR (endoscopic mucosal resection) for precancerous growths. He performs therapeutic procedures including polyp removal, stricture dilation (widening of narrowed passages), stent placement, and PEG tube insertion for feeding support.

He has particular interest in managing fatty liver disease, chronic liver conditions, reflux disease (GERD), inflammatory bowel disease, and irritable bowel syndrome. Before joining Aster, he held consultant and academic positions at medical colleges in Kerala, combining clinical practice with teaching responsibilities.
