Dr. Sasa Janjanin

Dr. Sasa Janjanin is an ENT specialist with over 22 years of clinical experience. He holds dual European Board certification in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery. He graduated from Zagreb University in Croatia and completed advanced surgical training at Zagreb University Hospital Centre, followed by a Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He also trained at leading centres in the USA and Germany, including a Fulbright research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, where he studied adult stem cells, tissue engineering, and nanomaterials, earning an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in biomedical sciences.

Dr. Sasa's major expertise lies in surgical and non-surgical treatment of nose and sinus problems, allergies, and paediatric ENT conditions. He is particularly skilled in aesthetic and revision rhinoplasty (nose reshaping), ear surgery, snoring and sleep-related breathing disorders, skin cancer surgery, and thyroid and neck disorders including nodules, enlarged lymph nodes, and cysts. At university level, he performed over 500 surgical procedures annually.

He has published more than 30 articles in international medical journals and presented his research at over 150 conferences, receiving several international awards for scientific advancement. Dr. Sasa is a member of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and the European Rhinologic Society. Before relocating to Dubai in 2011, he was a faculty member teaching ENT and facial plastic surgery to medical students and residents. He also brings specialist expertise in sport-related ear, nose, and throat problems, having consulted for professional sports teams and national athletes, some of whom are Olympic medallists and European championship winners.
