About Dr. Chahine
Dr. Rabih Chahine is a Consultant in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with over 22 years of clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology. He trained at the American University of Beirut, where he completed his medical degree and residency, then pursued a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Memphis in the USA. He holds an Executive Master of Health Management and a Master in Public Health from École Supérieure des Affaires in Lebanon.
Dr. Chahine specializes in high-risk pregnancies, advanced prenatal diagnosis, obstetric ultrasound, and the management of abnormally invasive placenta. Before joining Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, he served as Chief Medical Officer and Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rafik Hariri University Hospital in Beirut for 8 years, where he led a large clinical and teaching team. He is recognized as a WHO regional expert on the Robson classification for cesarean sections and pioneered one of the largest referral programs for abnormally invasive placenta in Lebanon and the Middle East.
Fluent in English and Arabic, Dr. Chahine is known for his commitment to patient care, clinical excellence, and medical education. He remains active in scientific research and professional societies across the region.
