Dr. Sara Filipa da Silva Mateus

Sara Filipa da Silva Mateus is a physiotherapist with over a decade of experience treating musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. She completed her Physiotherapy degree in 2010 and has since built expertise in helping patients recover from common injuries affecting the neck, back, shoulders, knees and ankles. She spent her first five years practising in Portugal before relocating to the UAE, where she continues her clinical work at Mediclinic.

Sara's training includes a Master's degree in Sport and Exercise Science & Medicine and postgraduate qualifications in osteopathy, giving her a comprehensive understanding of how the body moves and recovers. She treats a range of conditions including tendon injuries, muscle strains and tears, sprains, and long-standing dysfunction in the shoulder and spine. Her experience also includes teaching; she served as a lecturer at a health university in Portugal for four years and established her own private clinic in Lisbon, which continues to operate.

She works with adults seeking to overcome injury, restore mobility and return to sport or daily activities. Her background in both clinical practice and education means she can explain your condition clearly and involve you in the recovery process.
