Dr. Masood Ali

Dr. Masood Ali is a Consultant Pulmonologist with extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of respiratory and sleep-related conditions. He completed his specialist training (CCST) in Pulmonology and Internal Medicine through the East of England Deanery in Cambridge, UK, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London. He undertook clinical research at Royal Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, and has published several articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.

Dr. Masood worked as a substantive Consultant in Pulmonology and Internal Medicine at Southend University Hospital from 2010 to 2017, where he also led the Sleep and Ventilation Service. He has particular expertise in sleep medicine, including reporting of sleep studies, and is skilled in performing bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS). He manages complex respiratory conditions including pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, acute asthma and COPD exacerbations, and pleural effusions, as well as interpreting lung function tests.
