Dr. Basel Abu Abass

Dr. Basel Abu Abass is an otolaryngologist (ear, nose, and throat specialist) at Medcare Medical Centre in Dubai. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Medicine at the University of Kalamoon in Syria and holds a Syrian Board Certification in Ear-Nose-Throat and Head and Neck Surgery. With over five years of clinical experience, he worked as an ENT specialist in government hospitals and his own practice in Syria before relocating to the UAE.

Dr. Abass treats a wide range of ear, nose, throat, head, and neck conditions. His experience includes sinus infections, hearing loss, voice disorders, and head-and-neck cancers. He has managed middle-ear infections with fluid buildup, deviated septum, enlarged nasal turbinates, hoarseness from laryngitis or vocal cord growths, salivary gland problems, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, head and neck lumps, inner-ear balance disorders (vestibular neuritis and BPPV), and sleep apnoea caused by soft palate or uvula issues. He performs adenoid removal and uses both medical and surgical approaches for tonsil conditions.
