Dr. Khairat Al Habbal

Dr. Khairat Al Habbal is a Specialist in Family Medicine at Reem Hospital in Abu Dhabi. She is Arab Board certified and brings over five years of clinical experience in family practice, supported by more than eight years of medical education experience. She earned her medical degree from the American University of Beirut and completed a master's degree in Global Health Policy from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Dr. Al Habbal's clinical work focuses on holistic, patient-centred care addressing physical, mental, and social well-being. She applies the biopsychosocial model and considers social determinants of health in her approach. Her practice covers general family medicine across all age groups, with particular expertise in maternal and infant health, community health initiatives, and health systems strengthening.

Currently, Dr. Al Habbal is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Khalifa University's College of Medicine and Health Sciences, where she directs the award-winning Community Health Program (BALSAM) and leads the Medicine and Society course. In the UAE, she is designing and implementing Abu Dhabi's maternal and infant health monitoring system in partnership with government entities. She is fluent in English and Arabic, enabling her to serve diverse communities with culturally sensitive care.
