Dr. Abdulreza Heidarizadi

Dr. Abdulreza Heidarizadi is a Specialist in General Surgery at Iranian Hospital in Dubai with over 32 years of surgical experience. He completed his medical degree and master's in general surgery at Tehran University in 1993. After beginning his career at Milad Hospital in Tehran as an advanced laparoscopic surgeon, he joined Iranian Hospital in 2005 and has since become Head of the Department of Surgery, playing a key role in developing the hospital's laparoscopic surgery program.

Dr. Heidarizadi specializes in minimally invasive surgery, performing more than 5,000 successful laparoscopic procedures. His clinical expertise includes obesity surgery (gastric bypass, gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy), hernia repair and abdominal wall reconstruction, and transanal endoscopic microsurgery. He has trained extensively at leading international centres, including with Professor Jacques Marescaux at IRCAD in France and at specialized bariatric surgery centres across Europe.

Fluent in English and Persian, Dr. Heidarizadi is an international member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
