Dr. Jamal Alamiri is a Staff Physician in the Urology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Surgical Institute, where he specializes in minimally invasive and robotic urologic surgery. He trained at two of the world's leading institutions: the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), where he graduated with First Class Honors, and Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he completed his urology residency and fellowships in endourology, robotic surgery, and minimally invasive urologic oncology. He is the first Emirati and international medical graduate to complete a urology residency at Mayo Clinic, and the first Emirati to be American Board-certified in urology.
Dr. Alamiri treats a wide range of urologic conditions including prostate, kidney, bladder, and adrenal cancers, as well as kidney stones and benign prostatic enlargement. He is highly skilled in robotic surgical techniques and is currently the only urologist in the UAE with US training who performs minimally invasive holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP), a keyhole procedure for enlarged prostate. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he was a Staff Urologist at Cleveland Clinic Ohio, where he cared for patients with complex urologic conditions while contributing to resident education and clinical research.
Dr. Alamiri has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in urology and presented research at international conferences. His clinical excellence and scholarly contributions have been recognized through the Distinguished Doctor Scholarship from the UAE Ministry of Presidential Affairs and the Kelalis Resident Essay Competition from the Minnesota Urological Society. He is a member of the American Urological Association and the Endourology Society.
