Dr. Leila Ben Salem Hachmi

Dr. Leila Ben Salem Hachmi is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital in Abu Dhabi, bringing over 24 years of clinical experience in managing complex endocrine and metabolic conditions. She holds an MD and PhD, along with specialist qualifications in pituitary diseases and thyroidology. Dr. Hachmi trained at leading universities in Tunisia and France, and served as an Associate Professor of Medicine since 2001.

Before joining Mediclinic, Dr. Hachmi practiced at a prominent university hospital in Tunis, where she was actively involved in teaching medical students and general practitioners. Her clinical expertise spans all types of diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, and gestational), thyroid diseases including nodules and enlarged thyroid, pituitary tumours and hormone imbalances, growth and development problems in children, adrenal gland disorders, reproductive hormone issues including polycystic ovary syndrome, calcium and parathyroid disorders, and lipid management. She has held significant leadership roles, serving as Secretary and Vice President of the Tunisian Endocrine Society, and currently serves as Vice President of the Mediterranean Group for the Study of Diabetes.
