Dr. Omar Rathore

Dr Omar Rathore is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist who recently returned to the region after substantial postgraduate training in the UK and Ireland. He completed his specialist certification in gastroenterology and general medicine through the Irish Committee on Higher Medical Training and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, gaining hands-on experience across major teaching hospitals in Dublin.

Dr Rathore manages a wide range of digestive and liver conditions, from common problems like acid reflux and irritable bowel syndrome to complex cases including inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease), cirrhosis, hepatitis, and bile duct disorders. He performs therapeutic endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), with expertise in stenting, polyp removal, stricture widening, feeding tube placement, and variceal banding for bleeding varices. He also offers the Obalon balloon weight-loss procedure.

Throughout his career, Dr Rathore has presented at international medical conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. He has taught medical students at Trinity College, Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, and University College Dublin.
