Dr. Farah Al Abed

Dr. Farah Al Abed is an experienced Consultant Nephrologist with a special focus on resistant (hard-to-control) high blood pressure and glomerulonephritis, an inflammatory kidney condition. She trained in Nephrology at the American University of Beirut Medical Center and completed advanced training in peritoneal dialysis, a home-based kidney-cleaning treatment. She spent seven years in Lebanon working at one of the country's largest kidney-transplant centres and held a Consultant Nephrologist position at Hammoud Hospital University Medical Center, which operates the second-largest dialysis unit in Lebanon, caring for over 180 patients with chronic kidney failure.

Dr. Farah has been a University Lecturer at Beirut Arab University since 2015, combining clinical practice with teaching. She provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for kidney disorders in adults across outpatient clinics, dialysis units, and inpatient wards, always working alongside a multidisciplinary team. Her expertise spans the full spectrum of kidney care—from early disease detection and blood-pressure management to dialysis and transplant evaluation.
