Dr. Mohammed Ali Bakr

Dr. Mohammed Ali is a Specialist in Critical Care Medicine at Mediclinic City Hospital's Intensive Care Unit. He is American Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Internal Medicine. With extensive postgraduate and fellowship training at leading tertiary centres in Houston, Texas—including Methodist Hospital, Saint Lukes, BenTaub, MD Anderson Cancer Hospital, and Veterans Administration Hospitals—he has developed deep expertise across the full range of critical care.

Dr. Ali manages medical, surgical, neurosurgical, and trauma patients in the ICU setting, with particular experience in organ transplant care (pulmonary, cardiac, and bone marrow). His clinical career spans over two decades; he worked as a Consultant Medical ICU physician at New Dubai Hospital from 1998 to 2006, then joined Rashid Hospital as Head of the ICU Unit in 2006 before his current role at Mediclinic. Beyond direct patient care, he mentors resident doctors and medical students.

He is a member of the Emirates Medical Association, American College of Physicians, and the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine. Dr. Ali is well suited for patients requiring complex critical care, especially those with multiple organ involvement or transplant-related complications.
