Dr. Tanzeel Khalid Janjua

Dr Tanzeel Khalid Janjua is a Consultant Radiation Oncologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with 15 years of experience. He trained in the UK and completed his specialist qualification in Clinical Oncology at Leeds Cancer Centre, where he also worked as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist. He holds fellowships from both the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Radiologists in the UK.

Dr Janjua specializes in treating a wide range of solid cancers using advanced radiotherapy techniques. His particular focus is stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS)—precision treatments that deliver high doses of radiation to tumours while sparing healthy tissue. He is experienced in image-guided radiotherapy, volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), and MR linac-based radiotherapy. He manages cancers of the lung, prostate, bladder, breast, head and neck, brain, spinal cord, testis, gastrointestinal tract, and skin, as well as lymphoma and sarcoma. He also provides palliative radiotherapy to relieve symptoms and improve quality of life.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr Janjua is active in medical education, serving as an examiner for the Royal College of Radiologists and contributing to international training programmes. His research interests centre on oncology practice, risk management, and clinical governance. He is committed to global oncological standards and maintains active memberships in leading international organizations.
