Dr. Kahtan Georgis

Dr. Kahtan Georgis is a Consultant Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon at American Hospital Dubai with 25 years of clinical experience and board certifications from both Sweden and Norway. He trained at Aleppo University in Syria before specializing in orthopedic surgery through Sweden's National Board of Health and Welfare, then advanced his pediatric orthopedic expertise at Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, one of Europe's leading centers. He spent nine years as an orthopedic consultant in Syria before relocating to Sweden.

Dr. Georgis has performed over 4,000 pediatric orthopedic procedures and treats a wide range of conditions in children: congenital deformities (clubfoot, hip and knee dislocation), developmental problems (Perthes' disease, bowed legs, flat feet, scoliosis), cerebral palsy, skeletal dysplasia, sports injuries, and complex fractures. His techniques include bracing, serial casting, botulinum toxin injections for muscle spasticity, arthroscopic surgery, limb lengthening and reconstruction, tendon surgery, and ligament repair. He was recognized with a prize to establish a pediatric orthopedic section at Västmanland Hospital Västerås.
