Dr. Susha George

Dr Susha George is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at NMC Royal Hospital Sharjah with over 30 years of clinical experience. She holds the MBBS degree and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG), with board certification from the UK. She completed specialist training (Certificate of Completion of Training) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the West Midlands Deanery and previously worked as a Consultant at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr George specialises in high-risk pregnancies, maternal-fetal medicine, and minimally invasive surgical techniques including laparoscopic and vaginal procedures. She has successfully managed thousands of complex obstetric and surgical cases and is actively involved in quality improvement, including projects to reduce waiting times for obstetric scans and enhance antenatal care. Her audit on emergency caesarean sections was selected for presentation at the RCOG World Congress in Oman.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr George is a GMC-recognised trainer and RCOG examiner for specialist postgraduate exams. She has trained junior doctors, supervised research projects, and served as Gynaecology Service Lead at University Hospitals Birmingham. She is fluent in English, Malayalam, Hindi, and Tamil, making her accessible to diverse patient communities.
