Dr. Katarina Simic-Pasalic is a Rheumatology Specialist with over 20 years of clinical experience, now practising at Reem Hospital in Abu Dhabi. She completed her Internal Medicine specialist degree in 1998 and her Rheumatology specialization in 2000 at the University of Belgrade's School of Medicine in Serbia, followed by a PhD in Rheumatology in 2016. She has held senior academic and clinical roles across Serbia, Qatar, and the UAE, including Assistant Professor of Rheumatology at the University of Belgrade and Head of the Department of Osteoporosis and Bone Metabolic Disorders at the Institute of Rheumatology in Belgrade.

Dr. Simic-Pasalic treats a wide range of inflammatory and non-inflammatory joint, bone, and connective tissue disorders. She has particular expertise in chronic arthritis—especially rheumatoid arthritis and spondyloarthropathies—and is experienced in diagnosing and managing conditions like lupus erythematosus, systemic sclerosis, and osteoporosis.
