Dr. Sherif Elkhouly

Dr. Sherif Elkhouly is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Saudi German Hospital in Sharjah with more than 29 years of clinical experience. He holds a Professor of Ophthalmology title and has completed advanced training including a Master's degree (1998) and Doctorate (2004) from Mansoura University in Egypt, followed by the Consultant Degree of Ophthalmology (2008) and Professor rank (2019).

Dr. Elkhouly's clinical expertise covers a broad spectrum of eye conditions and surgical procedures. He specializes in cataract extraction with intraocular lens implantation, cornea and ocular surface diseases, corneal transplants, and oculoplastic procedures. He also performs vitreoretinal surgery, manages glaucoma, corrects refractive errors using laser and lens-based techniques, treats ocular trauma, and corrects strabismus (eye misalignment). He offers intravitreal injections, YAG laser procedures, intracorneal ring implantation, and contact lens fitting.

Dr. Elkhouly is Egyptian, fluent in both English and Arabic, and brings an investigative approach to ophthalmology alongside his extensive surgical skill set.
