Dr. Arezu Zara Akhavan

Dr. Zara Akhavan is a Canadian-trained general dentist with over 20 years of clinical experience across Canada, the US, and the UAE. She graduated with honors in Physiology from McGill University in Canada, then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from McGill's Faculty of Dentistry. In 2005, she completed advanced post-doctoral training in general dentistry at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. She was the sole recipient of the Canadian Dental Association President's Award from McGill University in 2004.

Dr. Akhavan specializes in cosmetic dentistry, including smile makeovers, porcelain veneers, all-ceramic crowns and bridges, and full-mouth rehabilitation. She also provides general dental care such as fillings, teeth whitening, tooth replacement (dentures), preventative treatments for children, emergency extractions, and oral cancer screening. She is experienced in treating medically compromised patients and works with families of all ages.

She approaches each patient with calm professionalism, understanding that dental anxiety is common. Dr. Akhavan regularly attends international dental conferences and workshops to maintain her skills and is an active member of prestigious international dental associations.
