Dr. Tamer Essameldin Youssef Ibrahim Badawy

Dr. Tamer Badawy is a cardiologist trained at Ain Shams University in Egypt. Before joining Mediclinic Abu Dhabi, he worked as a cardiology resident and specialist at hospitals across Egypt and Kuwait, building experience in managing a wide range of heart conditions.

Dr. Badawy specialises in treating coronary artery disease, heart failure, irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias) and high cholesterol (dyslipidaemia). He performs ultrasounds of the heart (echocardiography), stress tests and Holter monitors to diagnose conditions. He also performs coronary interventions—procedures to open blocked arteries—and can implant temporary and permanent pacemakers. In emergency situations, he uses advanced support techniques including intra-aortic balloon pumps and pericardiocentesis (fluid drainage from around the heart).

Dr. Badawy is well suited for patients with chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, dizziness or blackouts, as well as those needing ongoing management of high blood pressure and heart failure. He is a member of both the European Society of Cardiology and the American College of Cardiology.
