Dr. Iyad Abuward is a Consultant Nephrologist with over 12 years of specialized experience in kidney medicine. He completed his medical degree and earned a PhD in Medicine with Distinction Cum Laude from the University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain, then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Interventional and Diagnostic Nephrology from the University of Alcalá de Henares. His credentials also include a University Expert Certificate in Fabry Disease, a rare hereditary kidney condition that demands highly specialized knowledge.

Dr. Abuward's clinical practice covers the full spectrum of nephrology, from early detection and management of kidney disease and high blood pressure, through to complex dialysis treatment and interventional kidney procedures. He also specializes in onco-nephrology—a growing field that addresses kidney complications in cancer patients. His work is underpinned by rigorous academic training and evidence-based approaches to personalized care.

In recognition of his contributions to the field, Dr. Abuward was awarded the prestigious European Award in Medicine – Nephrology in 2021.
