Dr. Gene Ann Thomas

Dr. Gene Ann Thomas is a Specialist Neurologist at Zulekha Hospital, Sharjah, with over 10 years of clinical experience across India and the UAE. She completed her MBBS at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital in Mumbai, her MD in Internal Medicine at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital and Medical College, and her DM (Doctorate of Medicine) in Neurology from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi in 2016. Her career has included consultant roles at Holy Family Hospital in Mumbai and KIMS Hospital in Kerala, as well as positions at NMC Royale Hospital and NMC Medical Center Al Nahda in the UAE before joining Zulekha.

Dr. Thomas treats a wide range of neurological conditions including stroke and neurocritical care, epilepsy, movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease, dementia and other neurodegenerative conditions, multiple sclerosis, headache and craniofacial pain syndromes, neuropathies and nerve disorders including brachial plexus injuries, spinal cord conditions, vertigo and balance disorders, and autoimmune neurological conditions. She has research interests in nerve conduction studies, swallowing disorders, and management of refractory seizures.

Fluent in English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Marathi, Dr. Thomas is an active member of the Indian Academy of Neurology, Kerala Association of Neurologists, and the Indian Medical Association.
