Dr. Abed Hmaid

Dr. Abed Hmaid is a Staff Physician in the Hospital Medicine Program at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute. He trained in internal medicine at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed his internship at Jamil Tutanji Hospital in Amman, Jordan. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he worked as a hospitalist at Inova Alexandria Hospital in Virginia, where he focused on improving the quality of care and patient experience for hospitalized patients.

Dr. Hmaid specializes in the comprehensive care of hospitalized patients, with particular expertise in managing acute and chronic conditions including hypertension and diabetes. As a hospital medicine specialist, he coordinates care across multiple departments and manages complex medical needs for patients during their hospital stay.

He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds membership in the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
