Dr. Samer Cheaib

Dr. Samer Cheaib is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Fakih IVF, part of NMC Healthcare, with 13 years of clinical experience. He specializes in managing complex and high-risk pregnancies, including twin and triplet pregnancies, and holds a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from Inova Fairfax Hospital in Virginia, USA—one of the leading maternity hospitals in the country.

Dr. Cheaib's clinical expertise spans high-risk obstetrics, fetal medicine, prenatal diagnosis, and obstetric ultrasound. He manages conditions such as recurrent pregnancy loss, preterm labour, cervical incompetence, and complicated pregnancies. He performs first and second-trimester prenatal screening, detailed ultrasound scans, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), and both natural and caesarean deliveries. He also has broad interests in gynaecology, laparoscopic surgery, reproductive endocrinology (including PCOS), and urinary incontinence.

Dr. Cheaib earned his medical degree from the University of Baghdad in 2002 and completed his specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the American University of Beirut in 2008. Before joining Fakih IVF in 2012, he was an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at George Washington University School of Medicine. He is fluent in English, Arabic, and French, and delivers babies at multiple hospitals including Medcare Hospital–Jumeirah, Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital, and Emirates Hospital.
