Dr. Emma Gardette

Dr. Emma Gardette is a Franco-British consultant dermatologist with 12 years of clinical experience, trained in Paris and London at leading teaching hospitals including Saint Louis Hospital, the Royal Free Hospital, and St. Mary's Hospital. She holds an MD from Paris, a French Diploma of Specialisation (DES) in Dermatology and Venereology, and the UK Specialty Certificate Examination (SCE) in Dermatology, with subspecialty training in skin cancer and connective tissue diseases.

Dr. Gardette treats the full range of skin conditions in both adults and children, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, hair and nail problems, and genital skin conditions. She has particular expertise in complex inflammatory skin diseases, skin cancer screening using dermoscopy, and minor skin procedures such as cryotherapy, skin biopsies, and removal of benign and malignant skin tumours. She led the connective tissue disease dermatology service at the Royal Free Hospital, where she managed patients with scleroderma, cutaneous lupus, and dermatomyositis.

Dr. Gardette has a special interest in women's skin health, including hormonal acne, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)-related skin changes, and menopausal skin problems. She believes in a holistic, patient-centred approach that considers the physical, psychological, and social aspects of her patients' needs. She is fluent in English and French and is committed to teaching and mentoring junior doctors.
