Dr. Suvadip Chatterjee

Dr. Suvadip Chatterjee is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Medcare Hospital Sharjah, with 19 years of clinical experience across India and the UAE. He trained at Christian Medical College in Ludhiana, India, where he earned his MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine with multiple honours. He completed specialist training in the UK, obtaining MRCP membership and FRCP fellowship from Edinburgh, along with a Certificate of Completion of Training in Gastroenterology. He holds accreditation as an independent therapeutic endoscopist from the Joint Advisory Group, UK, and completed an advanced therapeutic endoscopy fellowship at Freeman Hospital, Newcastle.

Dr. Chatterjee's expertise spans the full range of advanced endoscopic procedures, including ERCP (bile duct and pancreatic interventions), endoscopic ultrasound, and therapeutic techniques for complex cases. He treats heartburn, acid reflux, peptic ulcers, fatty liver disease, liver and pancreatic disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, biliary diseases, and gastrointestinal bleeding. He performs polyp removal, colon cancer screening, and bariatric endoscopy (weight-loss procedures via endoscopy). He established GI and therapeutic endoscopy services at Tata Medical Center in Kolkata and headed gastroenterology departments at Al Zahra Hospital and NMC Royal Hospital Sharjah before joining Medcare.
