Dr. Sunil Chacko Verghese

Dr. Sunil Chacko Verghese is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Aster Hospitals in Dubai, with extensive training in internal medicine and specialist gastroenterology across leading medical institutions in India and the UK. He completed his medical degree (MBBS) at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, followed by postgraduate qualifications in internal medicine and medical gastroenterology from prestigious institutions including Madras Medical College, Chennai, and advanced endoscopy fellowships from UK-based programs.

Dr. Verghese's clinical focus spans the full range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, with particular expertise in hepatology (liver disease), inflammatory bowel disease (conditions like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis), and pancreatology (pancreas disorders). He has completed advanced training in endoscopic ultrasound through the World Endoscopy Organization's international school, enhancing his diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities.

He is a life member of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology and maintains membership with the World Endoscopy Organization, reflecting his commitment to international standards in gastroenterology practice. Dr. Verghese brings over a decade of clinical experience gained through training at major teaching hospitals and five years of specialist practice before joining Aster Hospitals.
