Dr. Maed Khalifeh Tamer

Dr. Maed Khalifeh Tamer is a Consultant General and Breast Surgeon at Mediclinic with over 23 years of surgical experience. He trained in surgery at Damascus University before pursuing advanced surgical training in the United Kingdom, where he earned qualifications from Imperial College London, the University of London, and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He has worked at leading teaching hospitals and established specialist breast and endocrine surgery services in the region.

Dr. Maed's clinical expertise spans breast cancer screening and breast-conserving surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, keyhole procedures (hernia, gallbladder, appendix removal), and laser surgery for colorectal conditions such as anal fissure and hemorrhoids. He joined Mediclinic in 2009 and has been instrumental in developing the breast and endocrine surgery programs at Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital in Abu Dhabi, helping establish it as a specialist surgical centre in the region.
