He trained at leading ophthalmology centres in Colombia, Spain, and the Middle East, completing a PhD in Visual Sciences from the University of Valladolid and earning the European Board of Ophthalmology certification (FEBO).
Dr. Martinez-Osorio has extensive expertise in keratoprosthesis (artificial cornea implants), ocular surface reconstruction, and limbal stem cell deficiency treatment. At King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia, he coordinated the keratoprosthesis clinic and treated a wide range of complex anterior segment diseases using advanced technologies including Boston keratoprosthesis.
