Dr. Ahmad Abdul Rahman

Dr Ahmad Abdul-Rahman is a consultant urological surgeon with 18 years of experience in the UK's National Health Service (NHS), where he trained and worked before joining NMC Healthcare in Sharjah. He previously held the position of consultant urological surgeon at Hull University Teaching Hospital and served as Honorary Senior Lecturer at Hull York Medical School. In the UK, he led the Female Urology and Uro-Gynaecology Department in Hull, where patients from across Yorkshire and even further afield—including Ireland and Kuwait—sought his expertise in complex urological care.

Dr Ahmad provides comprehensive general urology care, with particular expertise in urologic oncology, benign urology, and minimally invasive prostate procedures. He specialises in treating female incontinence and prolapse using advanced techniques including laser therapy and botulinum toxin injections. He is recognised as a pioneer in sacral neuromodulation and percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation for bladder dysfunction. His surgical skills extend to artificial urinary sphincter insertion and male sling placement for patients recovering from prostate cancer surgery. He also manages erectile dysfunction and penile implant cases.

Dr Ahmad is focused on advancing urological care in the UAE, aiming to establish the region's first specialised comprehensive bladder dysfunction and incontinence clinic using state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical techniques.
