Dr. Fady Geara

Dr. Fady Geara is Division Chair of Radiation Oncology at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Cancer Institute. He brings 31 years of experience in radiation oncology, having trained at leading international centres and held senior academic leadership positions. He earned his medical degree from the University of Paris XI in France and completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, one of the world's premier cancer centres.

Dr. Geara has extensive expertise across multiple cancer types and advanced radiation techniques. He treats brain cancer, head and neck cancer, breast cancer, prostate and bladder cancers, lung cancer, gynaecologic cancers, and gastrointestinal malignancies. He is proficient in specialized procedures including brachytherapy (internal radiation), stereotactic body radiation therapy (focused high-dose radiation), intensity-modulated radiation therapy, and image-guided radiation therapy.

During his 24 years as Professor and Chairman of Radiation Oncology at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, Dr. Geara pioneered several firsts in the Middle East, including the region's first high-dose-rate brachytherapy program and the first stereotactic radiosurgery program. He is well suited for patients with complex or advanced cancers requiring precision radiation techniques, as well as those seeking a leader with both cutting-edge technical skill and broad clinical experience.
