Dr. Riham Abdelaal

Dr. Riham Abdelaal is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist with over 12 years of experience diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal and liver diseases. She holds a PhD in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from Zagazig University, Egypt (2023), and is an Assistant Professor in her field. She has worked extensively in leading tertiary university hospitals in Egypt and now practices at Mediclinic Dubai.

Dr. Abdelaal specializes in both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures, including upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopies, video capsule endoscopy, and advanced techniques such as polypectomy and endoscopic mucosal resection. She also offers liver assessment using fibroscan (elastography), management of gastrointestinal bleeding, foreign body removal, ascites drainage, and multidisciplinary care for inflammatory bowel disease and obesity-related conditions including gastric balloon placement.

She is internationally certified by the Royal College of Physicians (London) in GIT Advanced Therapeutic Educational Skills and holds European Board Certification in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
