Dr. Waqaas Ahmad

Dr. Waqaas Ahmad is a Staff Physician in the Emergency Medicine Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute, where he also serves as Designated Institutional Officer. He brings 20 years of clinical experience, including five years as an attending physician with the Emergency Physicians Professional Association in the Minneapolis–St. Paul area before relocating to Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Ahmad completed his postgraduate training in Emergency Medicine at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year (2006–2009). He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and has developed particular expertise in emergency ultrasound, critical care management, and acute care delivery in resource-limited settings.

He is a strong fit for patients requiring emergency department care, trauma stabilization, or critical care assessment. His interests in emergency medicine education and global acute care delivery reflect a commitment to both direct patient care and professional development.
