Dr. Maysoon Agarib

Dr. Maysoon Agarib is a geriatrics specialist with American Board certifications in both Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. She trained at leading US institutions including Montefiore Medical Center in New York and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her medical degree at the University of Gezira in Sudan and brought extensive experience across hospital wards, dementia centres, subacute rehabilitation units, skilled nursing facilities, and home care before joining Mediclinic Welcare Hospital.

Dr. Agarib focuses on comprehensive care for older adults, managing common age-related conditions including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart problems, arthritis and diabetes. She specializes in evaluating and treating functional changes that affect independence—such as balance problems, falls, difficulty walking, osteoporosis, urinary incontinence and sleep issues—as well as cognitive decline, memory loss, depression and dementia. She performs detailed medication reviews and arranges coordination of rehabilitation and home care services.
