Dr. Sobia Nasim

Dr. Sobia Nasim is a Consultant Psychiatrist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health at Medcare Medical Centre in Jumeirah, with 15 years of clinical experience. She trained in psychiatry through the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, achieved full specialist certification, and holds memberships with both the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK) and the College of Psychiatrists Ireland. Early in her career, she worked in Brunei helping establish child psychiatry services, then returned to Ireland to complete advanced specialist training and lead multidisciplinary teams at Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).

Dr. Nasim specialises in assessing and treating young people with a wide range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress, eating disorders, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and psychosis. She has received specialist training in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule and has direct experience with eating disorder services.
