Dr. Rishi Prasad

Dr Rishi Prasad is an emergency physician who trained in the UK at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, where he completed his medical degree and higher specialist training in the Northern Deanery and East of England. He brings over a decade of clinical and leadership experience, having worked at Princess Alexandra Hospital in the UK in various roles including Clinical Director for Non-Elective Pathways, Chief Clinical Information Officer, and Associate Medical Director.

For the past five years, Dr Prasad has been based in Abu Dhabi, where he worked at Mafraq and Sheikh Shakhboot Medical City (a partnership between Seha and Mayo Clinic). During this time, he provided direct clinical care at a busy regional major trauma and burns centre, treating patients with serious injuries and thermal injuries. Beyond clinical work, he served as Director for Patient Safety, leading efforts to improve care standards and patient outcomes across the hospital.

Dr Prasad is now Head of Department at Mediclinic City, where he continues to provide hands-on emergency care. He is particularly committed to patient safety and quality improvement in emergency settings.
