Dr. Ali Issa

Dr. Ali Issa is a gastroenterology and hepatology specialist with over 16 years of experience. He graduated from Aleppo University in 1998 and obtained a Master's degree in internal medicine at Damascus University in 2003, followed by a higher diploma in gastroenterology in 2005. From 2008 to 2012, he trained and worked at Edouard Herriot University Hospital in Lyon, France, one of Europe's leading centres for gastroenterology and interventional endoscopy. He subsequently worked at Montpellier and Béziers university hospitals before joining Al Zahra Hospital Dubai in 2017.

Dr. Issa offers a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and enteroscopy for screening and treatment of digestive conditions. He performs endoscopic removal of digestive tumours, treatment of strictures using dilatation and stent placement, and endoscopic management of bleeding. He also provides abdominal ultrasound and non-invasive liver fibrosis assessment using Fibroscan. His clinical interests span conditions ranging from reflux disease and peptic ulcers to inflammatory bowel disease, colon polyps and diverticulosis, motility disorders including achalasia, liver disease, and gallbladder and pancreatic disorders.

With training across multiple French centres specializing in digestive oncology and functional exploration, Dr. Issa is well suited to patients requiring complex endoscopic procedures or management of chronic digestive and liver conditions.
