Dr. Anas Massad

Dr. Anas Massad is a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine and Internal Medicine with over 20 years of clinical experience across the Middle East and Canada. He currently practises as an ICU Consultant at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai, where he leads the multidisciplinary management of critically ill patients. He completed his Fellowship in Adult Critical Care Medicine at Sunnybrook Hospital, University of Toronto, a leading tertiary care and trauma centre, and holds board certification in Internal Medicine plus a Specialty Certificate in Adult Critical Care from the Jordan Medical Council.

Dr. Massad specialises in managing complex, high-acuity cases including polytrauma, neurocritical conditions, and multi-organ failure. His clinical expertise includes advanced mechanical ventilation, haemodynamic monitoring, continuous kidney support therapies, and critical care procedures. He has also received specialised training in organ donation and transplant procurement management, including brain death determination. Prior to joining Al Zahra, he served over ten years as an ICU Consultant at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain, affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Massad is committed to medical education, having mentored residents and fellows in both clinical and simulation-based settings. He holds ACLS Instructor certification and brings a global perspective to critical care, combining clinical excellence with leadership across multiple healthcare systems and countries.
