Dr. Imran Zahid

Dr. Imran Zahid is an American board-certified nephrologist with four decades of clinical experience in kidney disease management. He completed his medical degree at Rawalpindi Medical University in 1986 and trained extensively in the United States, including an Internal Medicine residency at the University of North Carolina (1993–1996), followed by specialized fellowships in Nephrology and Hypertension at Albert Einstein College of Medicine (1996–1998) and Rheumatology at Temple University, Philadelphia (1998–1999). He currently serves as Chair of Nephrology at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, in partnership with Mayo Clinic.

Dr. Zahid has held senior leadership roles across multiple healthcare systems, including Chair of Nephrology at Commonwealth Health Corporation in the USA (2001–2007), Section Head of Nephrology at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia (2007–2013), and Department Chief at Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi (2018–2020). He specializes in complex kidney conditions, particularly nephrotic syndrome, glomerular diseases, and chronic kidney disease.
